The Borders is a paradise for outdoor sports, with almost 30 golf courses, salmon fishing, hill walking – including direct access onto the Southern Upland Way through the back of the garden! You’ll also find horse riding, leisure and road cycling, mountain biking, indoor swimming pools, clay pigeon shooting and falconry, as well as marine diving off St Abbs Head.
For cyclists, we have space to lock up your bikes, and a utility room where walkers can dry muddy clothes and boots. If you go hunting or fishing, we have a refrigerated storage room and can skin and prepare your game or catch, either for dinner or for taking home.
If you’re interested in arts and culture, history or genealogy/family history, visit our links for some of our favourite castles, abbeys, historic houses, concerts, festivals and pageants.
And while you’re here, check out our famous designer textiles! You’ll find mill shops and cashmere outlets in many Borders towns.
If you need more information on activities in the area, just ask. We’ll pull out the stops to make sure you have a perfect stay in the Scottish Borders.
